Ptarmigan is no longer operating in Helsinki.

Ptarmigan existed as a project space in Vallila from 2009-2011 and a mobile curatorial/creative platform until 2014. We no longer exist as an organised collective, but this website will continue to serve as an archive of the activities produced as/at Ptarmigan during these years.

in here it is yesterday, performance by Nastja Säde Rönkkö (FI/UK)

(duration 45 minutes)

in here it is yesterday is one-to-one performance in which space for dialogue and intimate encounter is created between two people. The performance uses individual and collective memory as a methodology for an investigation into the notion of falling in and out of love. In a personal and playful manner these memories are evoked though music, darkness and technology.

Nastja Säde Rönkkö is a featured artist in the performance festival 'dimanche rouge estonia-finland-france' which will take place in Helsinki and Espoo from 17th-20th October.

Memories III, soundscape performance by Karl Larsson (SWE) and Hanna Eliasson (SWE)

(duration 30 minutes)

A performance in which a 1000 images are tear apart by the artist, a reflection of time that have passed and as a personal psychological refreshment. This is made in a soundscape created by different music instruments. The memories are collage, a collage of Karl Larsson’s project (the one million project) and documentation of life for ten years.

Karl is Ptarmigan Tallinn's current artist in residence. His performance is made possible with support from Nordic Culture Point residency programme.
