Ptarmigan existed as a project space in Vallila from 2009-2011 and a mobile curatorial/creative platform until 2014. We no longer exist as an organised collective, but this website will continue to serve as an archive of the activities produced as/at Ptarmigan during these years.
Klo 15-18.
People interested in tinkering and creative do-it-yourself projects with electronics, art, computers, and related fields gather to found the first hackerspace in Finland, Helsinki Hacklab. The aim of Helsinki Hacklab will be to rent and maintain a space where members and others can gather to work on various projects by themselves or together, as well as exchange ideas, organize open workshops, and collect shared tools and rawmaterials. Hackerspaces are becoming more common around the world; some of the more famous are New York Resistor and Chaos Computer Club in Berlin.
The event is open to anyone interested, but mostly aimed to people that want to be founding members of Helsinki Hacklab.
